WISER Systems Debuts New Ruggedized Indoor-Outdoor Tracker at Industry of Things World

Raleigh, NC, March 05, 2020WISER Systems, Inc. will introduce a ruggedized, waterproof industrial tracking device as part of Industry of Things World’s 2020 USA event later this month.

Like previous WISER tracker tags, the new device is designed to track and locate physical assets in real time. While WISER has produced and sold ultra-wideband (UWB) tracker tags for several years, this new ruggedized model was designed specifically for applications in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping facilities, and other potentially harsh environments, whether indoors or out. It provides resistance to dust, water, and impact without compromising the precision of WISER’s real-time location system.

“There’s no shortage of business cases for real-time location in heavy industry,” said WISER CEO Dr. Elaine Rideout. “We’re already supporting projects in manufacturing visibility, autonomous inventory, digital supply chains, and other Industry 4.0 priorities. As we explore more and more use cases like these, we’ll continue to offer new form factors, models, and products to match industry needs.”

WISER will exhibit its UWB Locator in booth 18 as an official business partner of Industry of Things World. As a leading provider of UWB positioning and asset tracking systems, WISER powers solutions in smart manufacturing, logistics, and operations improvement—all areas of focus in the Industry of Things event series.

Industry of Things World gathers experts from across the globe to experience the latest developments in the industrial internet of things (IIoT). It “focuses on the impact of the industrial IoT on business models, manufacturing processes and operations across all major industries” according to the event’s website. Industry of Things World brings together leaders from the logistics, aerospace and defense, automotive manufacturing, and energy sectors, among others, including representatives from Microsoft, Amazon, GE, Ford, and Coca Cola.

Industry of Things World 2020 USA will take place at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, CA from March 12 - 13. It is part of the Industry of Things global series of events, continuing this year in Singapore, Berlin, and Boston.

About WISER Systems, Inc.

WISER’s innovative UWB Locator delivers scalable real-time location in nearly any environment, reporting precise (sub-meter or inch-level) coordinates via a computer or mobile device. The WISER Locator is accurate even in cluttered, metallic, or complex manufacturing environments where conventional tracking technologies perform poorly. The system is lightweight and portable and can be deployed in minutes, indoors or out, thanks to WISER’s wireless calibration tool. There is no theoretical limit on the number of assets the system can simultaneously track. End customers include several large aerospace and defense contractors, multiple U.S. Government agencies, a large Japanese automotive company, and many other organizations. Headquartered in North Carolina, WISER manufactures its RTLS products in North America.
