It doesn’t take long to get the WISER Locator running. WISER’s plug-and-play setup only requires a few components, all of which can be arranged in a number of ways.

First, deploy your WISER Antenna Nodes to establish your tracking arena. The WISER Locator tracks inside the perimeter these antennas form. Placing antennas high above obstacles helps the range and accuracy of the system, but a clear line-of-sight isn’t needed for the WISER Locator to operate. You can power each antenna via AC adapters, USB power banks, or using WISER’s adapters for Power over Ethernet.

Next, prepare one or more tracker tags. All this requires is for you to open the enclosure, slide in a battery, and snap the enclosure shut again. Then you’ll be ready to attach tracking tags to each asset you’d like to locate.

With the physical setup underway, it’s time to launch WISER’s Tag and Track software. Within the software you can load a floorplan or map, set the image’s scale, discover the network of powered antennas, and calibrate antenna locations wirelessly. This process doesn’t require manually measuring any of the antennas’ relative locations.

Once you’ve lined up the calibrated group of antennas with your floorplan, you’re ready to run tracking, collect real-time data, and review the time-motion history of each tagged asset.
