Raleigh, NC, March 22, 2019 — Next week WISER Systems, Inc. will join just eleven other companies in competition for the Phase IV and final round award in the U.S. Army’s inaugural xTechSearch initiative.
WISER competed and won awards in Phases I, II, and III of the competition last year, advancing to the final round in October from among over 350 Phase I competing organizations. WISER’s competing technology concept features its ultra-wideband (UWB) asset visibility system, exploring how this system can support military situational awareness across domains. Since competing last year, WISER has advanced asset tracking projects with several U.S. Government agencies.
“We came into xTechSearch hoping to showcase our asset visibility system for military decision-makers, and we’ve been able to do that,” said Dr. Elaine C. Rideout, CEO of WISER Systems. “Since our last public demonstration to the military we’ve put in quite a bit of development work—and we’ve learned a lot about how our location and tracking system can solve problems for warfighters and civilians alike. It will be very exciting to share what we’ve done in a live demonstration next week.”
The final round of competition will take place as part of the 2019 AUSA ILW Global Force Symposium & Exposition. This 3-day forum will welcome more than 6000 attendees, including leaders from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army, United States Army Materiel Command, and United States Army Training and Doctrine Command. Other attendees will include representatives from NASA, the Defense Logistics Agency, and U.S. Army Futures Command, as well as over 200 exhibiting organizations.
“This symposium will explore the capabilities outlined in the Army Operating Concept and how the force transforms from being adaptive to driving innovation for Force 2025 and beyond,” according to the event’s website. The forum is designed to facilitate research and development, Government acquisition of new technologies, and collaborative partnership between military and civilian organizations.
The Global Force Symposium & Exposition will take place at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL, March 26-28. WISER representatives will present live at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26.
