Raleigh, NC, August 03, 2018 — The U.S. Army has announced that WISER Systems, Inc. has been selected as a Phase I awardee in the xTechSearch Army technology modernization initiative.

The Army’s Expeditionary Technology Search (xTech Search) is a new program to accelerate technology concepts that may benefit Army stakeholders and connect Army lab researchers with entrepreneurs, small businesses, and other nontraditional defense innovators. The xTech Search program is then intended to integrate these innovators into the Army’s research and development ecosystem. The program will award $2M to competing companies over the next several months.

“We are honored to have WISER RRLT recognized by the United States Army,” said WISER CEO Dr. Elaine C. Rideout. “Our team has worked tirelessly not only to develop our asset tracking technology but to make it flexible and useful across a variety of verticals. Having Army decision makers evaluate and see the benefit of our work is very gratifying.”

WISER will compete for a Phase II award with a demonstration of current technology capabilities and R&D plans.

WISER’s RRLT Locator mesh solution is designed to identify, locate, and track any kind of vital asset, reporting locations instantaneously as assets move. This delivers granular visibility with sub-meter — and often inch-level — accuracy even in highly complex and reflective environments.
